Altman's Kansas City

Saw this movie. Dont know how I dont remember about this 96 movie. It won some academy awards.

The movie is eminently watchable. Set in the 30s, the story is allegorically through jazz music and the relationship between the kidnapped woman's attitude is unusual and quirky. The direction is very clearly motivated in the specific direction of showing characters as opposed to giving importance to the story. The music never stops and famous jazz singers have performed. There is a memorable jazz duel which will make you stand up and applaud. The frames are like old photographs.

This is an unusual, must watch movie.
